Let me step aside from Dragonica and talk to you as Ebon Stone with an open mind. You may have noticed in the previous post that I am giving away music and it’s true. I work really hard to promote my site and my music and in the past I would promote my site and ask people to buy my tracks. Asking is a good way to promote a site and sell music, but then I realized the downfall of my plan… I am not a mainstream artist. So how can I promote new music and still ask people buy? Well… giving music away for free!
This experiment came to me when I discovered ReverbNation.com. I sign up, played around and I found out that ReverbNation is a little different from the other social networks like MySpace or Facebook. ReverbNation gives me an opportunity to reach as many people as I can without spending a dime. ReverbNation primary focus is independent artists and I hope that this resouce can serve me in this new way of promoting music.
I will give my music away in the meantime and I will not release any albums. All the music will be sent directly to my fans as they build up in ReverbNation. So with your help I can find success.
